Automobile use

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA
I am an hourly non-exempt employee. My employer requires I use my own car for as much as 20 miles a day to do my job. I am not permitted to expense report the mileage for reimbursement. Is this legal?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

California and Massachusetts are the only two states with laws requiring reimbursement for business expenses/mileage. You may be able to take a deduction for unreimbursed business expenses on your 1040 if the amount exceeds 2% of AGI. Search the IRS website or see a tax preparer for more information.
