Eligibility for bonus checks

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Texas

Until a few months ago I was General Manager of a restaurant and was eligible to receive bonuses for each period of business (12 periods in a year for the restaurant I ran). I stepped down from the GM position in Period 9 but had received bonus checks through Period 4 or 5. My question is, being GM in Periods 6-9, am I entitled to those bonus checks?

What was the reason your boss gave when you asked that question?

There was no reason given. Supervisor just told me that I would not be receiving my bonus checks.
