What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

My husband was recently offered a new job and is taking it. His current employer is charging him $250, which is half of the insurance decutible on a car that was damaged. My husband did not cause the damage but it was parked outside of his work bay. Can his current employer legally make him pay for the insurance deductible?
