What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TEXAS

Hello, I make 2.00 a mile and my employer is deducting .50(per mile) off that for "workers comp" I am a 1099 employee & use my own truck, whom should have no deductions whatsoever. On top of that they do not show the deduction on my pay stub. The last company I worked for did not do this. So I have been back & forth with my new employer trying to explain that this is not legal (to my knowledge)

ANY HELP!?

There is no such thing as a "1099 employee".

If you are a contractor, then you don't have an employer. If you are an employee, then you shouldn't be receiving a 1099. You need to clarify whether you are an employee or an independent contractor.

I get 1099 MISC every year. I am an independent contractor, who works for one company.
