What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I am a full-time exempt professional. My contract expired 04/11, we haven't met to sign our new contracts, as of this writing. On 6/30/11, I was informed by a superior that the owner called and said I was "off the schedule Fri, July 1, and all next week. I was to wait for a call back." Do I still receive my bi-weekly pay? Do I need to contact a lawyer to be with me if/when I do go back? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

No, not if you are off the schedule for an entire work week. Even an exempt employee does not have to be paid if they do no work at all for a full week.
