What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana
I am considered salary by my employer, but i'm paid on a per day basis ($100). If i were sick one day i would not be paid for that day. Am i considered an exempt or non exempt? Also, can I be required to take a working lunch? Training for a assistant manager of an automotive aftermarket store.

Exempt or non-exempt has nothing whatsoever to do with how you're paid ("salary") or when you're paid (per diem). Exempt or non-exempt is determined by what you do.

What do you do?
