FinesWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina About 6 months ago, my boss implemented new fines for various offenses. We are fined $2 per minute that we are late, $25 for not calling in sick 30 minutes before work starts, $50 for a no show-no call and some of my coworkers are fined $30 or $50 if they do not follow paperwork procedures. He says he checked with the department of labor and was told this is legal. I haven't been fined as of yet but am curious if this is legal? Thank you. |

| How are the fines assessed? Are they done by payroll deduction, do you write a check, or do you make a contribution to a general office fund of some kind? |

However, I would suggest you contact your state labor board and ask them: South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) filed in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.7M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| I'm not so sure this is legal, despite all the caveats mentioned by Jetx. But until we get the answers to cbg's questions, I can't go further.
