I was told I was given a $1.25/hr raise effective immediately and never received it. I have brought it up to my employer who on each occasion apologizes and said she'll get me back pay right away, but never does. Now, two months later, the raise is represented on my paycheck, yet no back pay. There was no new "raise" conversation other than "I don't know how much of the back pay I'm gonna give you". Am I out of luck as well?

That said, there is no Federal or state law that requires you be given back pay. If you receive any at all, that's more than the law requires. This is a matter between you and your employer.
