In Wisconsin, is it okay for employers to slash hours and pay without first warning the employee then not pay the employee for hours already worked? For instance: Employee worked 57 hours and only got 37.5 hours of pay due to employer slashing the allowed working hours, and the employee found this out after they worked all the hours --- when they got the paycheck. The employee also has to turn in hours for next pay period, but worked past the new amount of hours allotted because they were not told of new change. Should they still receive pay for these hours?

You should be paid for all the hours you've worked. But now that you're aware of the new policy of only being allowed to work a max of 37.5 hours per week, if you continue to work hours above and beyond 37.5, your employer may legally terminate your employment.

Just to clarify - you must ALWAYS be paid for all the time worked. However, if you work additional hours without permission, you can be disciplined up to and including termination for working unauthorized time, even though you still have to be paid for it.
