Over paid wages

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania
Just started a new job. Mistakes were made while processing my paycheck and I was subsequently overpaid. I noticed and immediately inquired at human resources. The net check was direct deposited so I had no 'paper-check' to return. I was advised to 'not touch' these funds until the issue was resolved. I was later informed that changes were made and it would 'self-correct'. Next paycheck, overpaid again! Direct deposit again. Now my employer has informed me that I would not receive another paycheck until these funds were recovered. I know I was overpaid and I know I owe the money back. My problem is that the account was levied and I am not likely to get these funds released. Can my employer not work out some type of repayment schedule and just decide not to pay me?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

So, you don't have the money to give your employer back??? That can pose a problem. Have you asked your employer about a repayment plan?

Well, you were required to get a "pay stub" or something like it even if your net pay was directly deposited. Plus, they must pay you at least minimum wage, period (if they do not, you can file a claim with the state Dept. of Labor). Other than that, what Wirelessany1 said.

How much are we talking about, net?
