Not paying for work doneMichigan - Can a employer refuse to pay an employee if they forget to "clock" in even when the employer knows the employee is working? Example - employer mandates a 10 min break (and will dock pay even if this break is not used), employees will often see that the counter is getting busy and come help even though they are on break. This often causes an employee to forget to clock in. The employer has started to refuse to pay the employee because she doesn't want to take the time to figure out worked time manually. | This is really obviously related to your other thread, where you were already advised that a 10-minute break, although mandated, must be a paid break. So, that makes this question moot.

Not being paid for work timeThanks, yes after seeing the response to the previous post I understand. What if they come back from a "lunch break" (more than 20 min), and forget to "log" in. | No, but the employer can take corrective action against the employee for not clocking back in.
