| | | Previous employer won't give me my paycheck. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio
I was employeed by a fairly large restaurant chain who is based out of Chicago, I worked in an Ohio store. I left about a month and a half ago because of abuse and a hostile work environment created by the General Manager. After I tendered my resignation some of the money disapeared from the safe, probably because said GM couldn't be bothered to lock it. Anyhow, they now refuse to give me my final paychecks. Even telling me through email that they won't and that they are holding every manager responsible for the missing money. Even though I wasn't there when the money vanished and even though they have tried no charges have been filed against anyone. Can they legally hold my checks and if not how would I go about getting them? |

| | | You're right, it would be Ohio. Blame it on the cold meds. | |
