Refunding previous reimbursment

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

As a part of my previous job, I purchased an airfare ticket and was reimbursed for the purchase. When I left the company voluntarily (before ticket travel date), I was asked to return the ticket or the money. Ticket was non-refundable and non-transferable and I was not sure if I can use it, so I never returned anything and company did not ask for it since. I had that ticket for a while and just recently used it for personal travel. Do I have to pay my old company back? If they will find out (and they might) that I used the ticket, do they have any basis for collecting the money?

Are you kidding me? Do you really think you had the right to use a ticket that the company paid for for personal use without repercussions?

Can they find out if you use it? No idea, but it doesn't really made any difference whether you use it or not. You have it, the company paid for it, and they can certainly sue you for what they paid you for it. And I bet they'd win.

Do I have to pay my old company back? Do you have any morals, ethics, or sense of honesty?

If they will find out (and they might) that I used the ticket, do they have any basis for collecting the money?
Please tell me you're not serious. OF COURSE they have a basis for collecting the money.
