What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia
I am a salaried supervisor and no matter how many hours I put in per week I do not get paid any overtime. You must work one full year with the company before you are given vaction time. I have worked for seven months. I asked for the day off tomorrow to attend a funeral out of town and was told that I would have to take a personal unpaid day off. I thought that since I was salaried that I would not have to take an unpaid personal day.

If by "salaried", you mean "exempt", that IS one of the limited exceptions where your weekly salary may be docked.

(b) Exceptions. The prohibition against deductions from pay in the
salary basis requirement is subject to the following exceptions:
(1) Deductions from pay may be made when an exempt employee is
absent from work for one or more full days for personal reasons, other
than sickness or disability.
29CFR541.602 - Salary basis.

If you are nonexempt, it's legal as well.
