What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.

I'm working on a school assignment and the subject I chose is the prevalence of wage violations in certain sectors, such as the hotel and restaurant industries. I would like to do a short e-mail interview with an experienced California lawyer who has represented workers in these types of cases.

Many county bar associations can make either referrals or at least provide a list of local attorneys.

You might be better served working with the wage and hour section of your state department of labor. While they will not provide you with a free sit down consult, they'll have a lot of data available to you.
