want to know what to do bout a company that won't pay me

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? state of confusion (texas)

I worked several events (weddings) for a company back in may, june, and july and they still owe me $525. what can i do to get my money out of them. they keep telling me that at this point and time they can not pay me and can i get more than that because they are holding my money this long?
