In CAIs it legal for an employer, pay the technician warranty labor time on a goodwill repair vehicle that is not longer under factory warranty. Warranty labor time always pay less than book time..For example a dashboard replacement pays only 5hr warranty time and book time pays 8.5hrs labor time..Dealer always punish the technician everytime they goodwill any repair by paying the technician warranty time instead book time

Yes, in fact this is often times the way it HAS to be for a goodwill repair using the car manufacturer's money. I process warranty for a very large car manufacturer and if we extend any of our loyalty funds the dealer's contract with the manufacturer REQUIRES the dealer to use the warranty labor times. Not following those processes is grounds for a chargeback...or worse.
