Adding an Addendum to a will

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon. I already have a will. However I want to add an addendum to my current will. Is it okay to write down the addendum on a separate piece of paper and have it notarized or do I have to have a lawyer draw up an entire new will?

It would be wisest to have the same lawyer who wrote the will add the addendum as well.
