Are biological grandchildren who are adopted by a step-parent after the death of a biological parent still considered heirs (as grandchild) in a will? Are they entitled to assests left to them by name in a trust which excludes other adopted children?

While the impact of adoption can sometimes vary from state to state, IF THEY ARE NAMED they inherit. If the Will named Gearge W Bush and Al Gore they'd inherit (assuming the perosn was of sound mind when making the Will).
