Am I liable for my mother's debt if she passes, I do not live with her.When my father passed 2yrs ago my mom overwhelmed with paying bills refinanced the house to consolidate the debt ( equity loan , credit cards, and other bills) the loan is for $70,000 at 25 % interest (she's 75 she'll never be able to pay it off) i don't want the house, so how do i handle the estate do i just let it go or try to sell the house or what? thank you for your time.
