Attorney rating--Here's name--Help

Didn't know if I should mention name--sorry--Name is Jerry L. Boswell--Steubenville, Ohio---Need to check out rating before we pursue hiring---Want to make sure we have an attorney with a top rating -- Couldn't find him in Martindale-Hubbell directory--Please help--

DEAR RECYCBRIDE:

Please don't make your decision just based purely on a rating, although it can be a reasonable indicator. Martindale-Hubbell ratings are somewhat biased because they don't seek out information on EVERY attorney, and some attorneys can request to be omitted if they want.

A better idea might be to visit Mr. Boswell's office and interview with him to find out if he has the particular expertise needed and the desire to work with your legal case. Or, maybe he can recommend someone else who he feels might also be qualified. He must be reasonably qualified if someone else recommended him to you.
