What is the name of your state? KY

When a lawyer is hired to handle an Estate, it is my understanding that he is suppose to keep all heirs informed to the estate being moved forward.

True or not?

Also, on this site it says that such lawyer must notify all those listed in the Will that such Will is being submitted to Probate on X date to give all those an opportunity to object.

What if a lawyer did no such thing? Can he be held to unprofessionalism if he purposely didn't notify them?

Thanks

"True or not?"
*** Not. He is answerable to the executor or administrator of the estate.

"Also, on this site it says that such lawyer must notify all those listed in the Will that such Will is being submitted to Probate on X date to give all those an opportunity to object."
*** On what site??

"What if a lawyer did no such thing?"
*** That would depend on whether he had an obligation to do so or not.

"Can he be held to unprofessionalism if he purposely didn't notify them?"
*** No, though any person with a valid claim of attorney misconduct could certainly file a grievance with the state bar or ethics committee.
