What is the name of your state? VA

My mother recently passed away. Her and my aunt were both listed in my grandmothers will. My grandmother passed away 2 months after my mother. Is my mother's estate (and her heirs) entitile to her portion of the will or does everything go to my aunt?

It depends on the language used in the grandmother's will--if the phrase "per stirpes" is used, then your mother's heirs will be entitled to receive the money. If it is not used, then the language of the grandmother's will is going to have to be examined to see exactly how she instructed the monies to be distributed (it is possible that this money could go to someone else besides the aunt).
