What is the name of your state? Tennessee My mother's will names four beneficiaries - her adult children - and per stirpes. One of my sisters died before Mom and she had a daughter. We have not been able to locate the daughter. What is the time limit (or is there one) for this process to take place? Two years ago, another sister wanted her own share of the estate, and this process was ran through the court in which they posted the usual notices, as well as contacted the father of the grandaughter - he was kept up-to-date on the process - but he notified the court (and us) that he did not know where she was either.

This is in relation to real estate - Thanks for your advice.
