I don't want to go to a lawyer and get a trust because I seen what a lawyer did to my mother and how he rip her off. I guess my best bet is a paralegal? Or just get one on the Internet. I just have a few dollars in the bank, a dog, jeep, and some house stuff but I want to leave what ever money I might have to the animals and I don't have a clue on how to do this? I don't have anyone to care for my Irish setter if I die before her and I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me and advice me?

Start by reading the following web pages and the statute:

http://www.trustok.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/PET.pdf

http://davisudoka.com/pet-trust/

https://skillernlaw.com/2012/01/02/oklahoma-pet-trust/

http://law.justia.com/codes/oklahoma/2015/title-60/section-60-199/

I would be cautious about using forms obtained on the internet without the advice of an attorney but if you want to risk it google "pet trust forms."

Meantime, I suggest you contact law firms and find out how much it costs to properly set one up.

This is not a referral to any particular firm. The ones listed just came up in a search for Oklahoma pet trust.

It really doesn't even sound like a trust is necessary.
Probably not.

Another option is see if an arrangement can be made with a pet rescue service (or trusted friend or relative) to take the pet in the event of death and make sure one leaves a method of notification to whoever the agreement is made with.
