in n.y. state, what is the law on settling a will by a certain time? not rule of thumb, but actual statue of limitation. a lawyer was going to look it up for me but got side tracked. he did tell me there is a statue of limitation on everything except murder. i haven't been able to find out what that time frame is, and when the time is up, what happens next? after 10 or 12 years, has the the time run out so something else can be done?
