London England.

I am 59 years old and have recently been contacted by a complete stranger who claims to be my older sister (by 3 years) who was adopted two weeks after she was born! If this is true my Mother and any other relatives who may have known took the secret to the grave so If this claim to be related to me can be confirmed (by whatever means) does she have a claim on my estate in the event of my death?

I am unmarried with no family but I am in a long term relationship and have a will leaving everything to my partner. Is this enough in English law to protect my partner?
