Our childrens irrevocable trust was established in Hawaii. We would like to buy property in California or Washington by combining 50/50 money from us and the trust. Is that allowed?

there is no general reason why this would not be allowed. there are simply 2 entities owning property together.

a deed to the property with 50% interest to the trustee of the irrevocable trust, and 50% interest to you two.
