What is the name of your state? New York State.

My parents have recently completed their will & trust. Should I ask for a copy for my own records and files? They live in Florida.

No, that would be a bit presumptuous and nosy. They have a right to privacy while they are still alive. It would be better if you asked them where it is located (so it can be found easily when they die) and if they have named an executor in the will.
