What is the name of your state? Florida my sister passed away 6 mths ago, had lived with the same man for the past 12 yrs. He has not let us go into their home to get her belongings, always has one excuse or another. Do my siblings and I have any rights-he says now the house is unfit for anyone to enter. I would like to put some closure on this difficult situation.

You could go to court and seek to become administrators of her estate, as you are heirs. But is the stuff that important? Are there any assets of real value or is it just "stuff" you all can live without. The 12 year boyfriend may also be in mourning.
