What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland
Father passed away and left a will, how long before the is read and can i see it? Stepsister is power of attorney and i don't trust her. What are my rights?

1) The will might never be "read" until submitted to probate courts. Do you know anything about the will?

2) Stepsister is no longer power of attorney. That ended with father's passing. Do you know if she is listed on will as the personal representative or executor?

3) Have you spoke with stepsister about this?

4) Did father have any assets to be distributed?

Reading of a will is something that happens far more in fiction than in real life. It is not required.

The authority of an agent/attorney-in-fact under a Power of Attorney ceases when the person who granted the power passes away.

To understand what should happen, I would suggest that you do a search on terms like "Maryland probate process." You will come up with websites like:
