My father recently passed. My mother was named in the will as getting everything however his personal property (that property not already owned jointly by him and my mother) adds up to less than two thousand dollars.

He left considerable personal unsecured debt. (credit cards, etc) This debt is in his name alone. Do the creditors have a claim against jointly owned property (house, furnishings, etc)?

The location is White County Arkansas.
