What is the best deed/property ownership type for a married couple who both have children from a prior marriage? What about a trust?

That is a loaded question and it depends upon what your goals are. A trust may work very well if both of you would like to ensure that each of your family's receive an inheritance. I strongly suggest that you meet with an estate planning attorney to discuss options. Good luck.
