What is the name of your state? Nevada

My parents had a revocable living trust and I was the successor trustee. However, after my mother died my dad replaced me with a friend of his. I am the beneficiary and all the assets have been disbursed. I need to know if there is a legal procedure for dissolving the trust. The current trustee tells me nothing needs to be done, that once the assets have been disbursed the trust just goes away. Is that true or should I have a legal dissolution? I live in Nevada, but my parents were living in Idaho as does the trustee.
