North Carolina. As the Executrix for my stepmother's will, do I have to do anything to transfer her house to her sons? She left the house to them, jointly. Do I have to do a new deed or anything or is this accomplished by probate?

DEAR TRESE67:

You may need to have the estate pay for the expense of having the deed transferred to the names of the new owners. A real estate agent or title company office can advise you how to complete this procedure.

SINCERELY,
