My mother's father (Thomas) passed away early February (Her mother died 18 months prior). Thomas has 4 children. He also has a will but my mother has no idea what it consists of. My mother's sister is the executor of the will. When is it appropriate for my mother to begin asking her sister about the execution of this will. She does not want to appear rude and/or greedy but at the same time she is in the dark. And what is a reasonable time frame for the will to actually be executed? I wouldn't think a property could be left unattended for too long.

Also, what can my mother do to obtain a copy of the will?

Thank you
