What should my son, 26 do. He is the next of kin and has not seen his father for yrs. He is now deceased with no will or ins...mostly medical bills. His assets are probably under 10,000 which include a mobile home w/no title and an old truck. Should he abandon the whole procedure? He doesn't want to become involved with bill collectors and whatever else involved. He has looked over his papers and doesn't see how his being could pay all his debts. Is he entitled to any of his personal items whether he goes ahead or not? If he does abandon this, the owner of the land where he was housed knows how to reach my son. Should he inform him of any action that he will take?
