I have recently had a trust made and was charges $1500 for it. The lawyer has now stated that he needs another $1500 for the "closing" or "transfer" from my Family's trust. I feel that this fee is totally out of line as far I know the Lawyer transfered the deed of the house and that is it. I will be making all the other transfers of the other assets. There are no other heirs. He did not ask for the money until he finished my trust.

If you do not feel the fee was justified, ask the lawyer to justify it. If you still disagree, most county bar associations have panels to mediate fee disputes.
