funeral bill

who is responsable for the funeral when someone dies the person who signed for it and is recieving the bill or who?

also how can i find out what my rights are as a executor of an estate....

The estate of the deceased is usually primarily responsible for the funeral bill BUT as the funeral home wants to get paid and does not want to wait, the home usually gets the person arranging the funeral to agree to pay the bill, and that person then seeks reimnbursement from the estate.
