What is the name of your state? Virginia

My grandfather passed about 2 months ago he was a wealthy man. Before he passed he told several family members that he left a will stating what everybody would get. Well most of the family was expecting an attorney to contact us if we were left in the will, but found out that is not neccessarily true. We also found out the wife has possession of the will and REFUSES to have it read!! Is there anyway to have the will read to honor his final wishes?

Anyone who thinks that they might be beneficiaries of this estate should share the expense of hiring a probate attorney to file to open up this estate for probate so that the judge can ask grandmother to produce the will.

thank you!

Commonwealth of Virginia

Thank you Dandy Don for the advice. I will take heed and urge other family members to help hire an attorney.
