We are From New York my father died left me with power of attorney which dies with him, what forms do I need to submit to become in charge of my fathers estate.

Go to the Surrogates Court in the county in wich he lived and seek appointment as the Administrator. If the estate is small there is a simple proscess that may be used. If not, a local lawyer can save you a lot of time and grief. See AttorneyPages.com
