What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Trust is in AZ.

How long, what is entailed for us beneficiaries to receive our dispursement?
We, beneficiaries don't receive good information from the Trustees (very ambiguous, like it's a secret).

1) Heard legal paperwork is completed (finally): yesterday Aug 4.
2) Securities are not yet sold (what and how long does this step take, is it sold immediately and funds transferred to the Trust bank account? or ??).
3) Does the Financial office wire the money to us or does the Trustee do that.

We just have no real clue what the is going on. Can anyone help us understand how this process works?

Thanks. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Your situation is not clear.

What does the exact language of the trust document indicate, as to when distributions will be made? And to whom they will be made?

The purpose of many trusts is to hold and grow money for some future purpose, and future date.

Can you provide some clarity as to the purpose of the trust, who made it and when it was made, what type of trust it is, when it is allowed or supposed to distribute, etc.

Depending on the type of trust, you could expect to receive the assets quickly. But, there are many reasons why it might not be distributed immediately. How many beneficiaries? The stocks, or bonds could be sold in about 30 seconds if they are listed stocks and bonds.

There should be no secrets by the trustee(s). It should be transparent. They might be trying to milk as many fees as possible out of this situation. Be proactive and find out what is going on. Give us more information.

Did the trust document give an indication of approximately how much you can expect to receive from it? It looks like you will be paid very soon from whatever assets are already there, but in the very near future you will want to retain the services of your own trust attorney to get advice or to have your attorney intercede on your behalf if it seems the trustees are delaying/stalling for unknown reasons.
