Give custody of the will to someone that you trust to submit it to probate when you pass away.

And, if you had answered the "What is your state" question when posting, someone might just have taken a look to see if your state provides for deposit of a will with the court while you are still alive.

Even if they toss the will on the barbie, they don't exactly get to "do what they want." Each state has a descent & distribution statute that determines what happens if there is no valid will.

I didn't realize that "what is your state" applied here.

I don't know the first thing about this stuff.

The deposit with probate court looks to be an excellent idea. A brief web search looks like I can deposit in my state.

Instead of two witnesses, would one notary signature make a Will valid?
