DEAR YEEKK:

Please explain:

What is the specific gift and what is its value?

Did the decedent have a safe deposit box and has that been checked?

Has the will been found and has it been submitted to probate court?

Do you suspect it might have been stolen by someone else or is it merely missing?

SINCERELY,

What country did the decedent die in?

Seems like this valuable a watch should have had a serial number to identify it or you might possibly know the name of the shop where it was bought.

I would check with local pawnshops in the same city where the decedent died to see if perhaps the person who took it sold it to the pawn shop to get some quick easy money. Report it to the police as stolen so that some type of search can be done for it, or at least it will show up later on as stolen property.

SINCERELY,

advisor
