Why not, it would be his anyhow. I'm missing what's really in it for Dad giving the fact that all this is HIS. Legally the daughter is entitled to nothing here.
You need to re-read the thread more carefully. The rental units are/were separate property and there may have been other separate property. There is also a will that gives the 4 rental units to the daughter.

Dad also has some major debts that might take away the majority of what he inherits. If the daughter just lets him live in the condo she guarantees that he has a home that his creditors cannot take. If she disclaims that part of her inheritance in favor of him, all bets are off.
