What is the name of your state? Idaho
My mother owns a number of farm and ranch acres in Idaho. There is a Will providing spliting of two farms and ranches into equal shares for each child. Will there be Inheritence Tax if the Will is followed. If so, then could the tax be avoided if each child bought the acreage before the death of my mother so that it would not be classified as inheretence.

Thanks. I do have an appointment with my attorney, and I see my CPA on the 30th of April. Just curious of what the forum would have to say about it, and thought someone else might have a question or two.
