What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

Can someone intentionally disinherit their kids from their will?

I disinherited myself (seriously) when a family member passed away and left me 96 grand. I was an only child and told the lawyer I didnt want the money and walked out.

a person cannot disinherit themselves. That can only be done by the testator. You can refuse, disclaim, or decline a gift of inheritance though.

Sure you did!

And being so "seriously" magnanimous you regularly include a 15% tip with your tax returns.
