What is the name of your state? Illinois In Illinois if a person dies without a will and leaves property, based on intestacy succession rules what attempts will be made to notify the next of kin or does it go by what relative steps forward first to make a claim of the estate? If the first relative to initiate claim to the estate does not notify the closest of kin do they take everything or what?
