What is the name of your state?mn
I have a son who is financially irresponsible and has no plan to adequately provide education, etc for his three children. Can I construct a living trust to exclude him and provide a programmed asset distribution to my grandchildren?

Yes. Do see an estate attorney to plan this and review any other estate documents (i.e. will) to ensure that what you want done is executed properly. Otherwise, irresponsible son could contest and get his hands on the money.
