I am recently married. My husband owns rental two properties (which have mortgages),
I have two also the one being the one we reside in and the other a rental property (both have mortgages) Also all checking, savings, MM accounts and IRA's and credit cards are in separate names with beneficiaries other than each other. His daughter is having financial problems & her funds are co-mingled with his. Our wills have not been changed there is no premarital agreement. The subject seems to be too sensitive for us to discuss therefore no changes in joint ownership or beneficiary changes have been discussed. If something happens to either one of us what kind of problems can this cause for family members and ourselves in regard to mortgage obligations not to mention our residence which I own should something happen to me.
